The Story Behind Moseka.
Moseka Action Project was born a deeply personal experience
The Moment That Changed Everything
In 2023, I visited Panzi Hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a place known around the world for caring for women and girls who have survived unimaginable violence.
I saw pain, but I also saw extraordinary resilience - women and young girls determined to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
The Reality Beyond the Hospital
But outside the walls of the hospital, another reality exists.
In many communities across the region, children grow up surrounded by extreme poverty and exploitation.
Young girls, especially, are often the most vulnerable.
The Meaning of Moseka
The word "Moseka" in Lingala refers to a young girl or young woman - someone full of dignity, beauty, and promise.
Yet for many girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo, that promise is threatened by violence, poverty, and lack of access to education.
Restoring the Promise
Moseka Action Project was created to restore that promise.
We support women and children through education, empowerment, and community support to help them rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
Join will the mission
Support women and children survivors of war and violence in the Congo as they rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
